Hello everyone, before we get into the meat of this, you are all owed an explanation of what the hell has been going on.
When we were last here, we were in the middle of moving between states, and I said it would be a bit before we got started publishing the second act. Well, we did move, and we moved into our new place, and well…to be totally honest…
By this I mean, moving in, setting up, working, and taking care of pets and other adventures in life took priority. It’s been a fun year or so, and well, now we’re ready to get going. Yes, between all of this stuff we have been, and I admit SLOWLY, working on this. We have enough to work on to account for the life finding a way thing. So yeah, this is gonna be happening soon. For more lets head down to the next section.
So what is new?
What is new is, well, a lot: instead of taking money on Substack for the project, and projects in general. We are now simply asking for a donation to our Ko-Fi. If you are in a position to do so, it does help us out, and if we get enough, we can actually make the project and other things we do more of a priority.
With that in mind, we have also opened up the HoloNet Archive to all subscribers; this is where you can check out world-building stuff. It has a lot of fun little aside things to help with the growth of the world, as well as terms and history. I’ll also be posting a history of the world before the story. So if you are curious about how The Last War made everything so bad. Stay tuned for that.
What we also do with it is show off Ili writes stuff art off, like we’re pulling concept art out and using it. So if nothing else, you’re getting some risqué pictures and concepts of varying styles.
Also, if you are wondering, yes, we have even made custom playlists for Act One AND Act Two. They are both available on Spotify and Tidal streaming services. I did select the music for these. Each song will go with the number of the chapter. So track one is for chapter one, and so on. You can find them both here:
Launch date and schedule:
That is a lot, isn’t it? Well, the good news is the wait won’t be much longer. We will be releasing the first two chapters in the first two weeks; after this, you’ll be getting a new chapter every two weeks.
The first three will release as follows:
Chapter One: The Goodbye will launch July 10th
Chapter Two: The Offer Part One will release on July 17th
Chapter Three: The Offer Part Two will release on July 31st
Every chapter after Chapter Two will be released bi-weekly. This allows us to make sure we can keep consistent with posting, and also gives us room to do last-minute edits and/or Ili wrapping up pictures. She is doing a cover and two pictures in the story, so three pictures that are well…pretty good if I may say so myself.
So, if I were you and you’re just now finding this, I’d suggest you hop on over to Act One and catch up. I will, however, in the HoloNet over the weekend, release a quick summary of the first act. It’s not as detailed as reading, but if you’re just finding this story, or wanting to catch up for Act Two. You will be ready to dive in.
I want to take this moment also to thank everyone for being patient; we have been busy, but we are also working on this. I hope the time we’ve taken will show its worth, as we want to keep giving you good stuff to read. As I mentioned earlier, if you can donate, that’s awesome, but what would help us even more and is totally free to do is to simply share our project with your friends and communities.
