Part One: Between the Sheets
Silver was on her back as Thomas thrust inside her. She moaned and arched her back as she felt him finish inside her. It had been a long time since she had felt such energy. Her Master instructed her to go and give Thomas a good night, so that he would be convinced to get a Servant. She smiled as she hit the peak of her pleasure and the ensuing explosion. Thomas finished, slid out, and lay on his back. Silver collected herself and smiled.
She groaned out in joy as he sat up and grabbed his robe. She opted to stay in bed and let her body be on display.
"It has been a while since I've had that intense a time," Thomas admitted as he stopped to admire her body. I hope I wasn't too out of practice."
Silver rolled to her side and put her head on her arm. "How long has it been?"
Thomas walked to the minibar and held up a small glass, and she nodded. He poured out some soda into each. He took it over to her and sat on the edge of the bed.
"About, eh, maybe eight months." He said, "I don’t know if you watch the Holos."
Silver took the drink and looked at him. "Danger, right? She's quite the looker. Why did you two break up anyway?"
Thomas shrank back at the question. "Let's… focus on the moment."
Silver nodded. She knew they had broken up part of the intel ReignOrg had on him. Before they left CNY, she read much of it, so in the event something like this came up, Silver would be ready to act. She also knew that one night after the breakup, he spent the night with a woman with whom they both agreed not to talk about ever again. It was not because it was not good, but the heat of the moment clouded their judgment. "I understand, still, you didn't miss a beat, young man."
Thomas sat back in the bed, and she curled up next to him. Her body was warm and soft, her touch was one of experience, knowing full well how to please. "So, you are one of the first of the Servants, huh?"
Silver smiled at him and looked up into his eyes. "I am."
"I know it is rude of me to ask, but how old are you?"
Silver did not look angry at the comment. "Well, let's just say I was designed to be aged like a fine wine." She leaned in and kissed him, pushing him back on the bed and mounting him. She leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss as she looked down at him again. Sliding down on him, moans escaped her lips as her hips moved and she rotated in a circle for extra stimulation. Thomas's hands ran over her body. She took his hands and put them onto her breasts. She rode him hard and could sense the tension in him when he finally erupted in her again; his relaxation was visible. She slowed down and slid beside him. This time, she wrapped her arms around him and kept close to not make him feel alone. Silver could feel her prey starting to think, and perhaps she could coerce him into the plan.
"You're confused about what I am?" She finally asked him, which caused a stir in him, and he turned to her, into her yellow eyes. "At this point, I would say I understand your concerns, but I am a Servant; I'm not going to know what you’re thinking."
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't." He commented as he sank into her body, remembering. She leaned into him and kissed his cheek.
"The Servants are created in-house by ReignOrg; we're sort of bred to serve. I'll admit we look at personality profiles for ideas, and yes, we have data from people; some of it may not exactly have been given with consent. But that doesn’t surprise you.” She lied to him, feeding his ego with something he was thinking was like putting a cherry on top of whipped cream to her.
"So, you were built for, I assume Richard, from the ground up?"
She nodded at him and rolled on her side once more, showing off her goods. "I was a prototype. I have a sister servant named Gold who is keeping track of things back home for our Master."
Thomas lay there considering the things he had just been told. "Have you and your sister…" Silver nodded almost instantly. He could not help but notice how she smiled at the question, almost like she was thinking of some time in the past.
"Gold is...wonderful in bed…" was all she said as she got up to take her turn at the minibar, unlike Thomas, naked for his enjoyment.
"So, if I were to do this, do I get to pick who I want, or do you pick someone for me?"
Silver smiled, “Keep walking toward the cheese, little mouse,” she thought to herself. When she returned, ran her hands over him. "Oh, you would have the best we have. Why don't you come to CNY for a few days? I'll make sure the best girls are ready for you to see."
Thomas finished the last of the drink in his glass as he finished. Silver kissed him and ran her hands over his body.
Silver smiled at him. "Ready for more, are we?" To which Thomas nodded, and she smiled, "All right, one more time, but then I have to be going."
She did not leave till morning….
She arrived back in her Master's room the following morning. Richard was waiting; he was sitting in a chair and looking over the information in the Holo. She walked over and clicked her heels before setting her fur coat down on the chair beside him.
"Well?" He asked her
She nodded at him and ran her hands over him. "He's very vulnerable. I think I nudged him in the direction we needed, Sir."
Richard leaned back in his chair and relaxed. "I hope you didn't get any ideas of being given to him. I know he's young, but this old man still has some tricks."
Silver leaned down on her knees in front of him and caressed his thighs. "Oh, he was good, Master, but you're still the best." She admitted, and she began to open his pants.
Part two: Taking care of business
Tamsin Jones walked into her now private office at Walker Company's Chicago branch. She came in the morning after the funeral cause she knew Thomas needed some space, and she also had to take on her new responsibilities as the acting head of Research and Development at the advanced technologies and reconstruction division. The division was one of the crown jewels in Walker's hat.
It was also a link in the chain to Los Angeles and other parts of what was left of America since the last war. While ReignOrg and others did not think much of America post-war, Walker thought it was still vital to keep the country going and opened up several branches in areas where help was needed. She walked over to what used to be Thomas's desk, which still had a few personal effects of his, but nothing he would need up on the top floor right away. Tam also knew that, for the time being, it was Emmet who was in charge, so she set the items aside on the corner of the desk so that when the time came, she could give them to him. He had other stuff to work through right now, like grief, loss, and mourning, which was a thing she was familiar with.
Tamsin, or Tam as everyone called her, was now the head of the division. Since the official changeover happened after Mr. Walker's passing, she had been getting adjusted and learning all the things she should have been learning but got lost in her research. Nine years of that also did not help; she did do a lot of work to make nanotechnology work better, as well as improve the engines in cars and electric planes. The only problem Tam had was that she never really had friends or anyone to talk to and form a bond with.
She knew she was respected; she just wanted people to be friendly with her. Being close to Thomas, though, did bring about an air of suspicion; they were tight like family, but everyone suspected the worst things about them. The truth was Thomas was too much like a brother to her to be even thought of as a romantic partner. The idea of them even kissing was like the thought of kissing a sibling, just disgusting. The rumors only grew after he and Cassie split up; she did not go out in public much with him. However, every job has its gossip, and when you share an office with the future CEO and have known him since college, people talk.
It is why when they were both there, she made a point of keeping the door open to avoid suspicion. As she ran through the emails and memos that piled up, she saw her time slowly turning from studying the technology to managing people. While the pay raise was nice, long hours were already the norm, and she was afraid she was going to get more frustrated having to deal with people instead of doing research. That was the nice thing about her job: she could be on a computer all day, and aside from Thomas and his music or the trip to the actual research area, could learn and study, and improve her life's work. Maybe even make the world better than she left it.
She wrote down notes and put her pen in her mouth, as she scanned through Holos about new notes and people asking her questions about things, as well as learning just who exactly was who in her department. When she got focused, it was hard to pull herself out. What felt like an hour would be something like five. She heard a noise in the background. It was not until a louder knock that she snapped back, and her pen dropped from her mouth as Thomas leaned on the door.
"So, I think I forgot a few things and also did not wanna go to L.A., yet..." Thomas said
She stopped her work and stood up, motioning him to come in. "You know, you don't have to ask if you can come in. You own the company, sir." She said and grabbed the stuff set aside for him. She realized that he seemed relaxed. Like a tension had left him, a little surprising since everything that happened and his lack of sleep, he looked more like his old self than the shattered guy a few days ago. "You look better. Good night's sleep?"
Thomas flashed his smile, which was a smile she had seen before. Usually, when he is just being nice and wants to avoid a conversation. But this is one you really cannot avoid. "I had a good night's sleep, yeah." She was not sure how to respond, as if he did not want to say what happened last night.
"You found the food I left?" He nodded at that. She was glad once more to be the little sister to his big brother and make sure he was alright.
Tam had known Thomas for a long time. When she was sixteen and coming up in school, she met him. Thomas first came to her cause he was confused as hell about everything he was taught. She helped him out and also found her knack for technology, he took a keen interest in her skills and her theories on what could be done with nanotech, it also did not help matters her parents died from a skirmish in the chain when one of the cities was being from what she recalled 'taken back because the people who were there did not earn it' was the excuse.
When she found out the news, Thomas snapped into action almost instantly. The bodies were recovered, something that did not happen often in The Chain unless you had some power. The Walker family also paid for all the funeral expenses and any money she had to pay after scholarships, which Thomas personally paid for with his own money. When they graduated, he suggested that maybe with her technology skills, she would fit well at Walker. After meeting with his father, he quite agreed, and at eighteen, Tamsin Jones joined the Research and Development wing, focusing on nanotechnology applications. She led many advances in her time and has become respected for her knowledge. A few companies tried to headhunt her and bring her in. After everything Thomas and Tony did for her, though, she was more or less ride or die with The Walker Company.
"So, is this all you came here for, or is there another thing you need, sir?" She asked him
"Don't call me sir for starters, that's just weird." He answered, and she smiled. He did not like formality very much and hated suits even more. But some things have to stay, like the clothing, but the titles not so much with the young man. "But, yeah, I do actually kind of need some help..."
She looked at him for a moment. "Are you alright?"
Thomas walked around the office. Looking at things, moving them around like you do when you want to avoid a topic. "I'm still coming to grips with things,” he said softly, the pain in his voice noticeable. “But that is not what I need help with." Tam nodded and continued to listen. "I'm going on a trip to New York. I am... talking with ReignOrg about something." He said, to which she blinked.
"ReignOrg? But what could you want from them?" Tam countered
Thomas put his hands in his jacket. "Well, that is why I came to you. I need someone I trust to come with me. Right now, it is just looking into something."
Tam went back over to her chair, sat down, and hit some buttons as she looked at him. "Why me? Isn't this more up Tony's alley?"
"I trust you, and Tony...he'll be more concerned about protecting me than actually looking at stuff." Tam sat back in the chair and thought for a moment. "Matter of fact." He continued, "He's going to be going ahead and preparing security for our arrival."
Tam’s face was not one of surprise, but in some ways amusement. “Oh, he’s got to be super happy about this one.” Thomas just shrugged, and she chuckled. "Well, when do we leave?" She asked him.
Thomas smiled, "Tonight, I got the jet all prepped and everything; however, due to the...secrecy of this negotiation, I need you to sign an NDA."
Tam nodded, "I get it. Can I do it now?'
"On the plane, sadly, I'll explain everything on there, all right?" Tam nodded, and Thomas nodded, "Good, well, I'll see you tonight then."
As Thomas walked out and closed the door, Tam brought up a Holo and began to arrange things for her time away. She posted her people where she thought they would be best. She also went over the notes on the latest features of the nanotech build they were working on.
Tam decided after Thomas's father was diagnosed that she was going to solve the rejection issue. Her best efforts were to get a viable nanotech gel for everyone medically. She even got a sample and was looking for possible variables she could use to change it so everyone could use it. That project, since the death and transition, was put on hold. However, she moved the information onto her private server, and she planned to take the nights and work on it. However, with Thomas's request, that was gonna be held off on for now. As much as she wanted to help the lives of others, she knew right now Thomas needed her; whatever he was going into, he wanted her to go along instead of Tony for a reason.
She was not sure what it was, but after finding him in the mansion, shaking and sitting on the floor, unable to know anything going on around him, her protective nature kicked in for better or for worse. Maybe he knew this and wanted her to come along to stop him from doing something. Whatever it was going to be, she'd find out and deal with it.
